INGEGRID™ Shore Power Converter

On-Shore Power Supply Converters

Connected from port to the ship electric line

In some countries 50/60Hz conversion in ports is necessary as most of the ships (especially passengers ships) have a 60 Hz distribution system. This can be achieved through frequency conversion power electronics. These drives are connected to the 50 Hz grid, and are capable of switching this frequency into 60 Hz.

At Ingeteam M&I, our ship-to-shore converter solutions help eliminating the production of greenhouse gases while the vessel is located in port. This also implies reducing noise emissions and contributes to savings on fuel costs. The growing regulation in terms of normatives and protocols, encourages port authorities to invest in the electrification of their power supply, contributing to a greener tomorrow.
